maybe our decor is *too* natural

Second little finch to flit in this week.  Is it the dried peas in the rustic wood bowls?  The tree branches festooned with recycled paper butterflies? The branches in urns?  The dried flowers? Woudn’t it be wild if someone moved into the one of the birrdhouses hung for display inside the store?

it occured to me this afternoon.   for someone who is fairly damn good at analyzing people and offering them useful insight about themselves, i don’t understand my children at all.

I would love to have 3 days where I didn’t have to leave the house and I could just get organized.   And while we’re wishing, I wish that there were no kids around for those 3 days, and that someone else would be feeding me wonderful home-cooked meals, and that yet another silent, useful person would do all the schlepping and hauling while I just sorted and organized.

I’m really surprised we haven’t heard more about this in the media.  I think I actually believed this *wasn’t* happening.   I support Obama completely and have been extremely dissapointed and even, recently, disgusted with Hillary.  But this article does point to the ugly underbelly that I think we’ll see much more of once the general election campaigning is under way.
